why am i getting knock

i got my car together amd i am getting knock on scanmaster everytime i get into it.even when i am in park and reving engine up,it shows knock as much as 9 reving up in park..i have a alky kit on it and running about 22 psi.i put a new set of hr motor mounts on .has anyone had issues with mounts being to hard and causing this.

one other thing that i am having issues with is when i go to start car,it will hit then die.i have to mash throttle some to get to run the it will iddle on its own.. i tried adjusting throttle plate and seems ok to me.

Sounds like false knock. Make sure the knock sensor was torqued correctly.

Turn down the boost, turn off the alky, and get a solid base tune FIRST, then turn up the boost and the alky.

rod knock or you broke a rocker shaft/bent pushrod /broken spring

pop the valve covers off and hope its rocker shaft

its a new motor and runs quiet and no miss.downpipe not touching (close but ok).only get knock when wot driving but also if in park and rev it up hard it will show as well.so no one has had issues with hr motor mounts?

oh if its a new motor then it has to be something else. Nothing will break once ya do them over

and you shouldnt get knock in park because you shouldnt be doing hi rev with no load... bad for the wrist pins

and hrs dont make the vibration , they do have a poly urethane bushing so they arent solids

check your downpipe clearances and the driveshaft clearance to the loop because while the hrs wont make the knock they do raise the driveline ,
and the mounts are oversized on the bolt through holes so you can have a little flexibility with the motor positioning by rotating the motor to where it fits best before tightening bolts to 80ftlb
