It costs much more for parts that are not commonly used. A small block Chevy is the cheapest thing on the planet to build, because there are a gazillion of them out there. When you've got a limited production vehicle such as ours, many companies do not even offer upgraded parts for them, but when they do, it comes with a hefty price. As mentioned above, it's a supply vs. demand issue. Sorry, but if you want inexpensive racing parts, then you'd better covert to an old small block, and be prepared to slow down...
