Hoping this little gadget works as others have reported. My stock internals motor surges like a mofo at around 10-12#.

There are many reasons for the surge.
But the 44 will surge on these motors especially when the conditions are met.
Properly sizing the turbo/slowing the air down and or having a way to release the air the motor won't use will eliminate the surge.
The new turbos won't do that regardless of the air stacking when the motor can't use it.the new turbos with anti surge covers and better compressors and turbine wheels have eliminated the surging.
Your tornado may or may not help ive seen it both ways and there are blow off valves as well.

I had that thing on my TA49 right by the inlet, maybe 2008 era and it did smooth out the part throttle boost surge. But as Spool stated, new turbos took care of this, though in your case this doesn't help. Also the thing coming apart into your turbo is a factor, not sure on what % but there were stories.

I think Steve V was the guy on here that took the initial risk and created a post if you're curious.

It completely eliminated the surge when I ran a Te44. No issue with it coming apart. When you’re done with it use it to slice fruit for adult beverages.
