Why does this Audi get better MPG at 150 than at 100?

Well I guess part of it is accelerating vs. maintaining speed, but as the car goes faster and faster the MPG go higher and higher.
 
If he has a modern flux capacitor, then the gauge is reading properly, the velocity is actually a negative number and the MPG is from several minutes previous. :eek:o_O
