Hey guys.. were tryin something new at TBS.net.. We all use Team Speak 2 for gaming on line so why not turbo buick talk! We have a TurboBuicks.net Chat room! Dowload Team Speak 2
HERE Install and click on "Connection" and "Quick Connect" and put this info in..

Server Info: IP: everlan.net
Room: TurboBuicks.net chat
Password: turbo

Don't use a "Log in Name" Not needed and sometimes wont load. This could be the next way to yell at your turbo buick friends on line! Let's hope Zap don't log in or it will be nothing but people cussin him out! Check it out and enjoy! For more info... http://www.turbobuicks.net/

I had some trouble also.

After you download the program, you click on it and if I remember, the screen comes up with the word "Connection" in the upper left hand. Click on this. A little screen drops down, and you click on "Connect" again. Now another screen comes up with 2 tabs on it, and you click on the right hand one. Now wait. (This is where I got confused, as nothing happens for awhile, but what it's doing is downloading all the servers.)

Once this screen fills with servers, in alphabetical order, you scroll down to Everlan TSS. Click on this. That should take you into the room where there are sub rooms, one of which is the Buick one. Click on it. It'll ask for the passwork...type in Turbo.

BTW, you'll be known as Guest1 (or 2 or 3, depending if others guests are there.) You can change to your nic later.

I also had some other screen come up automatically, just click on OK. Something to do with settings....I can't really remember.

You can play around with it...it's kinda cool. You can hear others plainly and if you have a microphone connected you can talk. Oh, in that screen that I said was settings, you have to have your microphone set so that you press a key in order to talk or else the others will feed back into your mike and they can hear themselves.
 
It's up guys and trust me it's very simple to log on. If you can get on here you can get on Team Speak. Once you have downloaded the program and run it a window opens.. Click "Connection" then "Quick Connect" A window pops up. Then in the next box.. "Server address" is everlan.net Then put in a nick name of your choise. Most people have been using their nick name they use on the boards. Then the password that is "turbo" DO NOT put anything in the Login Name. Leave that blank. Then click connect. You'll be dumped in the lobby then double click on the TurboBuicks.net Chat and your in! You can play with the Settings to fine tune it to your mic and speakers. But it's very simple and it's always there! :) Hope this helps! Enjoy!! :cool:
 
I get nothing, just a blank, white screen. I tried both links. I'm using a Mac computer, but I doubt that matters.

yes that does matter....the program is made for a pc let me see if I can make a program today to do this or find one....
 
Okay here is the deal from the info that i could find if its to complacted let me know and i can try and make it more clear.....

The program is written in a programing lanuage that is not comptable with mac (what a surpise:rolleyes: ) BUT they are working on geting a mac version out there this will take time and I think that they are shooting for the first quater of 05 but I am not sure..... they do have it for liniux tough :p There i kept that as simple as i could lol
 
Hey y'all,

I just tried this tonight. I have to admit, it's a pretty slick set up that works well. A few minutes of tinkering and getting everything set up right and it works like a charm.

I'm a die-hard IRC user, and I always will be, but I have to admit this is a pretty fun way to communicate with other Buick people as well.

Only problem I can see, and it doesn't look like this will be a problem long. You have to know when everyone will be on there chatting. Just the same as an IRC chat room, you have to know when people will be online. But beyond that, it's a pretty slick piece.

Nice talkin' to all the people tonight.
 
Yes the users are jumping in! Load it up guys and give it a try. It's really cool. tons of turbo Buick talk! heck I bought a drivers seat off another person on there tonight! woohoo! :)
 
I have also tried this out and its pretty neat....IMO having a USB headset is the best way to utilize this program, but a regular mic and speakers work fine.

with the way the program is written it will not be out for mac for a LONG time atleast not untill they do a complete redo of it if they ever decied to lol sorry :(
 
The only way a mac user can use this is by using an emulator like "Virtual PC" and im not sure how stable or how well it would work.

I was a mac user myself but just cant afford a GN and a Mac at the same time ;)

on my ibook i couldnt get it to work right i gave up but then agin mine is a pos so who knows i may work
 
NEW LIVE CHAT RIGHT FROM THE WEB!

Hey guys we added a new feature on our site. While the voice chat is still up and running and some people use it from time to time, we now have a *LIVE* chat room you can access via the web! On turbobuicks.net main page just click on the "CLICK HERE TO CHAT" link and you'll be shot to an mIRC server via JAVA and right into the chat room called #turbobuicks. Once there make up your nick name by typing /nick (and your board name) and say hi! This will be up all the time and it's a good way to talk to other turbo Buick people without the lag of PM's and e-mails. Just tell em to log on and chat live! Come give it a try. I know there has been mIRC chat rooms in the past and I can promiss you this chat room is a no drama chat! Save the drama for your momma and come on it!

For those folks with mIRC you can log on direct via server: irc.irc-chat.net and join #turbobuicks

Enjoy and see you there!!
