About 4 months ago when my 86 GN was purchased we did the normal spring cleaning, along with a walbro 340, ATR SS exhaust, a cold air kit, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I didn't notice until recently but instead of the normal whine that my 87 and 85 make when I prime the fuel pump, this one makes a loud pulsating sound????? I'm not sure if I got a bad pump or not. It seems to put out the pressure and the car runs great but it is my daily driver right now until we finish the 87s tranny and I don't want to be stuck on the side of the road. There is 13.45 volts to the pump, and it was the kit from ramchargers. We also took out the pulsator in the process. Anybody got any ideas on what it could be. Thanks

Don't worry about it...totally normal. My 340 makes crazy noise and also eludes to the fact that my car ain't stock. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, I was jsut wondering because my 87 and 85 both make a humming whine type sound with their 340s and this one is just weird like a vr-vr-vr-vr-vr type sound (I know thats a lame attempt to imitate the sound. Well I guess I won't worry too much. Thanks
