Wiesco pistons

Anyone had experience w/Wiesco pistons in our cars? I was ready to put a set in my car until I saw this on the net:

I used them in motorcycles for years, but....

I have uesd wiseco pistons in a stage 1 motor. I never had a problem with them but I would recommend J&E over them.

Hi Reg, thanks for the input. I've done a bit more research, and guess what? JE and Wiesco are now the same company. I also spoke w/our local Buick guru, and he has seen no problems from them, and in fact thinks they're a great piece. I was concerned when I read that post, but I've seen this kind of thing before. A good example is the TE51 turbo thing. A couple of guys have trouble and all of a sudden they're junk.

I had already ordered the Wiescos, and plan to follow thru w/them.

how much are j&e's? where can i get them?

I know that you can order them through Duttwieler. But I am sure Cottons or one of the other buick venders can get them for you. J&E won't deal with you directly so you will have to use a vendor.The last set I bought for a stage motor was around $600.
They make them when you place an order so it will take about 6 to 8 weeks to get them.
