Will 3.90s fit a GN 8.5 with current 3.42s?

Hi Turbo guys,

I'm slidding over from the V8 board again since youns will probably know this stuff best. Anyway, I know sometimes gear carriers overlap one way or another. I just wanna make sure I'm OK. My Regal has a GN 8.5 posi with 3.42s. WIll 3.90s fit OK? I know the local who sets em up will probably make some shims, but my concern is that the carrier will still work. Anyone know?
