I've used it. It works great but the 86/87 program has two mistakes. The spark retard and manifold temperature conversions are wrong. Spark is calc'd as 90/256 rather than 45/256 and MAT/IAT doesn't look up in a table, rather it calc's it as if it's coolant temp and therefore is not only the wrong value but it goes backwards (colder air reads warmer on the screen).

I emailed Jonas and he didn't have time to fix it. I think he will eventually.

Outside of that, it works well and is a great scanner if you don't want to spring for the more expensive systems. Unquestionably better than nothing.

Thanks Terry

So the spark retard will read twice as high as it really is?

basically I have nothing right now, so for tuning it will do for now.

I will ineed get another sacn tool at some point. I have access to laptops so the data and logging features of this type of setup is what makes the most sense. I will probably go with Directscan( Sorry Ken, your product is nice as well). I like the fact that Directscan has a higher bitrate, etc. I am in the market for Directscan, but some funds need to free up first. :(

Thanks again:D

Yeah, if you have nothing, it's great.

I made a mistake here (I confused another scanner program error). Winaldl's retard does *no* conversion at all. It shows the raw data as degrees retard. Just divide the number shown by 5.6 and you'll have the correct degrees of retard.

IAT/MAT is still wrong, period.

Again, if you have nothing it's worth using. The adapter cable is very simple too.
