Are the scanner antenna's that stick to the glass any good for a radio? I changed fenders and don't have an antenna hole, and don't want to put one in if this will work.

They make an interior "stick on" Am/Fm antenna. Can't remember the name but they are out there. It works great. I don't know if the scanner antenna would work. It would be calibrated incorrectly.

I know they make windshields with an antenna between the pieces of glass. I don't know if you could get one for a gn or not, and it would cost more but would work. Its a dumb idea but could you put a narmal antenna somwehrer behind the grille or would the metal from the car affect it?

Anybody know why GM stopped making those? 70's cars had them. They had 2 little strips in the center of the windshield.
