window rattle fix guide

hello people; I had said this in the past but has anyone thought more about putting that rattle fix guide manual in a PDF file for all to see? It kills me when I see it for sale (not lately) and if it would help all why not. I drive my 86T with the windows all the way down or at a point where the rattle is not as bad.

with your logic then chris CKs book on the 2004r should be given away ..the endless hours he spent learning trying and developing the methods and parts and then to get it into a book form should be free because you want it .... really

buy the book.. read it ... understand it .. learn it , then sell it if you're done with it ..if your memory isn't that good it will be a book you want to keep on your own shelf to refer back to

If you don't want to buy the book there is another way to fix the rattles. Take your car to Paul (pacecarta) and have him fix them. Oh it may cost you more then the book. I had mine done at Richard Clarks shop,Pete did the work. I didn't want to screw with the book or the windows

Ibby, the book is available from a vendor that supports the site. Your asking someone to dump on that vendor for $12? Good luck with that. By the way, I bought that book last month and now no rattles, we'll worth the 12 dollars to be able to drive with the windows up or down......

hello people; I'm not here to dump on no one unless you ripped me off (Arizona) or just suck out loud IMO. But how long has this book been available? A long time so why not give something back to the people that has been putting money in (who ever's) pocket for all that time.
Here's something. If I buy the book and give it to the site somehow would the site have a problem in putting it in a PDF for members to see?

I will have to look at the book but I can't imagine it doesn't have a copyrighted statement and if so the board would definitely get in trouble if it allowed you to post that against the owners permision. Copyright infringement is nothing to mess with ibby, I would let this rest and let it drop.

hello; Your write about Copyright laws. The PDF thing is something I thought could work. There might be such a thing here and I'll have to look. If there's not an area with tips and tricks about our cars would be cool. We do spend a lot of green on them I know I have.

I appreciate all those that commented as to why the book carries a price tag. First, the book was written by Pete Serio not Pete Hoffman to avoid confusion. Pete Serio is a long long time personal friend of mine from GTO days. He worked at a Buick dealership when our cars were new. He handled all those funky issues like water leaks that regular mechanics stayed away from.

Years ago he went with me several times to the GS Nats and worked in the field on our cars fixing window rattle issues....I encouraged him to write a detailed book that we could sell with the window rattle kits....which he did. I also pay him a royalty on each book we sell.

Perhaps someone reading this will sell you a copy cheaper which is fine. Your paying for the knowledge.

It was written by a person who knows how to fix the window issues.

Also keep in mind our market is a very limited market its not like we have sold thousands of this book. Nobody is getting rich on the book....however you buy it and eliminate the window rattles it increases the value of your car.

hello; What's happening in Kirban land? I use to get your catalog all the time and I havn't looked at your stuff in a while. You do have a bit of my money. But you also use to do specials and coupons.. Do you still do that? I know your doing alum. rear drums but how about a nice quality rear disk conversion that doesn't brake the bank and is proven for fit and function.

Like most companies we have not done catalogs in several years. I do a free weekly email to those that subscribe. We do Christmas specials each year. We sell a Baer front disc brake set up... Not likely to offer a rear disc brake set up. Most stopping is on the front discs...are market is mostly catering to stock cars. Again our weekly email keeps people informed weekly...and has for over a dozen years.

As for books I have written a few...doing a book even an instructional book such as the window rattle book is a lot of work. My father was the one with the real writing skills.....(50 plus books several 1/2 million sellers).
