What type of grease should I lubricate my window tracks with? I've got something broken on my drivers side power window. So, I want to lubricate the tracks after I fix whatever is broken. Thanks for any information.

My windows were dog slow. The problem has more to do with hardening grease and dry tracks than anything electrical. I had to reposition my window after installing new roofrail seals from postons (biggest crap **** on the market). All I needed was to brush out the teeth on the mechanism with alky and a toothbrush, then greased it all up with synthetic mobil grease. I also greased up the wheels and tracks. As time goes on, the window keeps getting faster and faster. I imagine its about as fast as it was when new now. I never did the passenger side, so that one takes about 5 seconds longer to get all the way up than the drivers side one.
By the way, to get the window switch out, just get 2 thin flathead screwdrivers. Push in on the left side and right side of the switch (inbetween the fabric and the switch of course), and it will compress the 2 retaining springs that hold it in. Just push in on both sides and pry it out.

I just use white lithium grease...comes in spray can...same thing I use for door hinges...striker...
