Jurors had earlier delivered two guilty verdicts against Mallard, a former nurse's aide, for hitting the homeless man with her car, driving home with his mangled body lodged in the windshield and leaving him to die in her garage.

i personally dont think its a fair punishment, i personally thing she needs more. but thats my opinion

Well, she hasn't BEEN punished yet -- they still have to sentence her. But she could get life in prison, and if she does, I think that's fair. This is one of the most heinous, heartless crimes I've heard about in recent times. I don't care what she was on, she should have helped the guy. He could have lived if she had only picked up the phone.:(

I can't imagine driving anywhere with a guys head stuck through my windshield, bleeding all over and stuff. I'd have to pull over and puke. Well at least no one has said "He was just a homeless man." It doesn't matter how it was, that was just too much.

Makes you wonder how someone can be that heartless, selfish, and stupid all at the same time.

Actually, it's almost a bit surprising that in the "try 'em and fry 'em state" that they haven't thought of giving her a nice comfortable seat on ol' sparky. Although, there's a fair chance that she doesn't meat all the requirments.

I hope the jury shows her no mercy what so ever... she has some nerve asking any jury for any kind of understanding or sparing from punishment. She never showed that man "any". Yes, she may have been under an influence, but come on.. there's a time when reality DOES come back...
