My intermit wipers don't work. Mist works, and so do the hi and low speed. Saw some other threads in the archives that says the "pulse" intermit wipers are controlled by some module in the cover. Replace the cover and my problems should be solved.

Well, how the heck do you remove the cover? Doesn't seem like it comes off with the motor in the car. Figured it was easier to just remove the whole motor and take the cover off with the motor outside the car. Undid the 3 bolts (that bottom one is a PITA) and the nut that holds the wiper arm mechanism on the motor. But I can't get the arm off the stud. It just doesn't release. I don't want to pry it off and bend everything all up. How do you get that arm off?

And am I on the right track here? Will replacing the cover assembly solve my lack of intermit wipers?

Thanks
Mike

Yes you are on the right track.

Make sure you align the new cover properly with the prong in the slot and all. Directions should be on the new one if it is GM.

Anyhow I pried mine off with two screwdrivers incrementing the torque slowly.

It'll pop off.

Gonna go look up in the manual how you are really supposed to do it. :D

Wiper cover installed with wipers in the Park position only!

Pawl and cam have to align up properly.

Didn't really say how to get the arm off.
