I am doing the fast start conversion and had to split the harness conduit on the DS valve cover. What have you guys used to replace those plastic rivets. once you get em off they aren't any good.

Thanks!!

I have a kit from Marson. Has an assortment of different rivets and a small rivet gun.

I would think you would be better off using another more re-usable setup but I think the assortment I have has the replacement you need. I'll take pics if you want.

I used McMaster-Carr P/N 91020A210 (mcmaster com). They look like the originals when installed. Just push them in with your finger or thumb. They come in packs of 100 for about $15.00. Only nine are needed to replace all of them, and these can be reused if you don't mangle or lose them getting them in and out. You have to squeeze the two parts together with the holes lined up before you push the rivet head in.

87 GN, purchased new Nov'86, stolen and recovered September '98. Almost back together now.

Dave, thanks for the reply. I'll be looking at that part number! And getting a pack of 100 will keep plenty around for later:cool:
