Got mine. Love it... my laptop can go anywhere in house or outside and be on-line. :D

I just installed a DLink router last night. Mine has (4) ethernet ports on the back and a wireless antennae. It is a 2.4Ghz and has a range of 300' although I haven't tried it out yet. I like the idea of wireless and wired ability. It was $30 after a rebate, the damn cable was $50 !! Shop around for cables, I've since heard they are available for MUCH less.

I had to change some network settings to match the computer to the router to the DSL modem. Eventually I gave up and sat on hold for 30 minutes while my Indian friend "Sherry" told me how to do it.

I had to temporarily disable my firewall in order for it to initially connect, then the firewall went back up.

After I got it hooked up, I ran a 50' long cable to my living room and promptly signed up with XBox Live (got my Halo 2) pre-ordered. Then I went online and played Mech-something live and got my arse handed to me by some punks in Australia. It was cool, we were talking trash during the game through the headset.

I wonder if my neighbor knows he can get free high-speed internet off me now? Maybe I should charge him a fee for living next to such a cool family.
