What's the best/easiest way to remove some wires from the harness stuck between the engine and tranny (by knock sensor) after bolting up the trans? I hope there is one. We have some ideas, but are new at this process. We don't want to pull the engine again. Thanks, Weekend projects never are! (saw that in a sig)

Tell me I didn't do that! I thought Tim was holding the wires up! Take the bolts loose holding the bellhousing to the block, and try to jack the tranny pan to put an angle on the tranny, so theres a gap between the tranny and motor. Pull out the wires carefully, then check them for damage. Is it gonna run this weekend? Drive it over, we'll go mess with the local mustangs. It will be a whole new Buick beating them then! Good luck, call me if that don't work.

Crisis averted! It was the freakin injector harness with the huge wire plug in down in the casing. I did not see that hanging down or I would have never let it get in there. We unbolted the trans and used a huge a$$ crow bar to widen the gap and pull the wires and huge plug in out. Looks like the wires are ok, slightly mushed, but no cuts. And as a bonus we still have all our fingers :D Tim
