Hey guys. I just put on champion heads and intake this weekend, but when the car goes to shift 2nd it carries the rpms until i let off the throttle, like it doesn't want to shift under boost. When i'm just driving regular it won't do it, and it does it worst when shifting into 3rd. I don't think putting the heads is the problem. Could this be a transmission problem or what? I'm stumped.
Thanks alot

check fluid level...and re-check the TV cable adjustment...hows the fluid look?..smell?....does it lock-up?(the converter, normal driv'n)......go easy on it till you know fer sure!...DO a pressure check!.. later joe

Same problem

Verry Interesting.

I have the very same problem. Trans was running fine before engine swap to fresh 3.8, GN1's,TE-63, and a 9/11 converter.

Trans fluid was always clean, replaced valve body and governor with an othe BFR set and still same problem. Trans shifts normal but verry soft with quarter throttle or less. And will not shift under WOT unless I slack the throttle.

Pulled the trans pan 5 times all ready and its driving me crazy.

Confused

Guy I believe both of you are having as cavitation problem with your trannies. What clued me into it is that both of you made motor changes that should have picked up your rates of acceleration. So now the problem shows it's ugly head. Not a real problem as it is easily fixed. Shoot me an email if you need more help.
Thanks, Kip

Hey gtokid1 give me your particulars and I will be glad to help. Every case is a little different some can fix by spending no money some will need to spend some. I need to know when it happens to you to you, what you have already tried, and info on your car such as speed etc.
Thanks, Kip
