This was a progressive problem over the last 3 days: First, I noticed my car was having trouble maintaining idle, almost like it lost electrical power...then my headlights dimmed for a second when i shifted into overdrive and i'd get a flicker of my interior lights... but as soon as i got going, i was fine. Then, tonight, I got a stumble while driving and I stalled out completey...almost like the car was fighting for power...dashboard lights dimming as car struggled and SES light went on then went off before the car died..

tried to restart but all i get is a lot of turning, but I am getting dash lights and RPMs are registering.. shes trying to start but can't-- is she flooded with fuel? alternator...??

thanks red regal, ECM threw codes 13 and 44. 02 sesnor? I can't see how that would make me not start. I'm gonna throw in a new coil pack and module and see what happens....battery cable looked fine

I would also check the ground cable from battery to motor. Man I hate troubleshooting when one won't run. Aggravating.

Might check fuses also, Sometimes basics fix a problem that seems worse than it is.

Can you hear the fuel pump? It sound's like your alternator or battery.

Check for a loose wire , broke or bad ground. Wire on the back of Alt would be a good place to start. Check grounds too.

Replaced coil pack and module but no luck. I tried a jump start just for fun. So I think its alternator ...it seems like it isnt able to produce enough voltage.

but yeah, definitely could be a bad ground or a short somewhere. only reason why I think its an alternator is because it was a gradual power loss. A bad ground would just go at once.

Also, I am assuming I don't have a bad O2 since a bad alternator would provide low voltage to the O2 and I'd still get codes 13 and 44.

I'm an idiot

I tried putting a little gas in my tank and now she runs.

I feel like an idiot:o Usually when it hits E it means I have about 3 gallons left. Not this time. Sometimes doing the simple stuff first is the best idea.

wow:rolleyes: :)

Now you will probably get alot of people telling you to never ever ever let it get under 1/4 of a tank. again

I guess putting gas in could be considered basics. Glad you figured it out.
