World Championship Outlaw 10.5 Race

Drag Race Action's Outlaw 10.5 World Championship Race is coming up Sept. 19th, 20th, 21st at Huntsville Dragway in Huntsville, Al.
They will run Pro Mods, Outlaw 10.5, Limited Street, 6.0 h/u, and 7.0 heads up .. All classes are 1/8th mile. Over 40 Pro Mods already entered and 72 Outlaw 10.5 cars already preregistered to race... 10.5 cars will be high 4 sec/low 5's. Pro Mods will be low 4 sec cars in the 1/8th.

They were originally slated to qualify and run the quickest 32 Outlaws but due to the number of cars they will run 2 Outlaw 10.5 races.. The first 32 quickest will run and the next 32 quickest will run.

Payout in the Outlaw 10.5 class is $20,000... No typo.. Runner up pays $7500 and semis pay $1500...

Are there any TR's that can complete with this guys? Would love to see some show...

We'll be there for it Warren. You probably won't see many turbo regals there, but one of the quickest 10.5 TR's will be running tomorrow. We'll be at Farmington (N.C.) tomorrow with Richie Kibler and his 5.20 eighth mile Stage 2 GN. He runs 1 turbo on true 28X10.5's and is leading the Pure Street points in the SSCA this year. That's not too bad for a little 6, since everybody else has a big small block with lots of gas! See you in September.

I've already got plans to be there as well. I'm going down with a few friends. One is going to run Outlaw (I hope) with a turbo Mustang that has been 4.70's, and the other has a Limited Street Z28 that he is going to take. Also another friend is going to be running Outlaw in his blown Hemi Dodge Stealth.

I can't wait. I'm hankering for some good racing. Perhaps I'll run into some of you fellows out there.
