I have some stumbling right before I’m about to hit boost but I also seem to also not shifting to second in time...

Yes X2 A bad MAF can cause a lot of things... Stay away from what you can buy at the auto parts stores they are not calibrated correctly for our cars. Kirban has them. Also if you have another known good one from another car try that and see if it solves your problem then if yes buy a new one.
 
If it's a factory MAF, it's time for a Translator and a much better sensor.
 
Of just have FAST installed and do away with it altogether... :)
