any ideas or photos of what you did? any bolt on kits available? I was thinking of just using this? but i would prefer something that gets cold air....

1. You will likely find that the shielding is pretty much useless.
2. Assuming you are using a stock ECM, I don't see a provision for the MAF sensor.
We use the later model, "cigarette pack", drop in style MAF's. We weld the "slot" into the pipe. Makes a much nicer install.

If that's the case, I'd make my own. lots of alum bends, etc, available....Ebag is 1 place to look. Summit has materials, too.
