My glass is good too,I dont think you can get just the molding,its easier to just get the glass with molding attached.

Quarter Glass with blackout trim....

Hello,

If anyone can purchase new Q/G pieces with the blackout trim on them, please let me know where you were able to find them.

I have been in the Auto Glass business for over 15 year now, and for the past 6-7 years we have not been able to find one Supplier who can find them for us. I have spent countless hours on the phone with Guardian, PPG, LOF, Safelite, and some other obscure manufacturers, and NO ONE has them, or can suggest where I might find them.

I've had a few other glass shops from around the country claim that they had some of them sitting in their shops as NOS, but when they arrive, they all have the chrome trim on them.

Anyway, if someone needs a set of the OEM GN Quarter Glass pieces, I have a fantastic set sitting here. They are difficult to find in good shape. Usually all beat up, crappy tinting on them, etc...

Again, if anyone can come up with a source that can get specifically the GN Q/G pieces with blackout trim on them, please let me know.

Can't get just the blackout trim....

I noticed that a fellow was looking for just the blackout trim for his Quarter Glass pieces...

You won't be able to replace just the blackout trim because the part comes "encapsulated" and it would be next to impossible to pull apart and put new on. (actually, you can't even buy just the trim for them)

As I stated in prior post, if anyone can find a source that has NOS, or new aftermarket Q/G pieces WITH THE BLACKOUT TRIM I'd be very interested to hear about it.
