XFI lost injector pulse when car got hot
hot day in florida engine temp was 200-210 hotter then normal. I stopped at a store 5 minutes later car would not start no injector pulse leds on xfi when cranking. I let the car sit for 20 minutes with hood up and then I tried again has injector pulse and car started. Would this be the module under the coil or crank sensor ?

I'd lay odds it is the sorry @ss magnivox ignition module.

Is yours a Delco?

I think there is a parameter that you can set @ a certain temp that if the engine goes over a set temp it shuts the engine down.

Cal is the man give him a call.

I haven't ever seen that...... might be a worthwile feature.... but I've never seen it in the XFI.

FWIW.... I still think his problem is in the ignition module..... at least that is my vote. It truly is a very poor design IMHO.... very failure prone.

I have a new gm module I will install it this weekend but let me tell you what else is going on may give some more insight
when car is shut off after normal operating temp the car will not restart right away. after a good 20 minute cool down will start aging my casper cam sensor cap light was very erratic only blinking maybe every 5 time it should or so and the car ran horrible spitting and sputtering when I tried to get on it. I will attach the log of the spitting and sputtering below.
2 logs posted will be 1/2 of a 1/4 run and the other is when it really started acting up on the next run alos the light on the xfi box between the red green and the last one was out during driving but on at idle

check to see where your target air fuel ratios are set at from what i can see at
5550 rpm the box is correcting 19.5% (adding fuel) and actual afr is at 8.25.. if your running E-85 like me thats looking good but if your on gasoline thats pig rich
that being said if xfi is adding fuel to get you to that point i can only assume that its doing that based on your target arf being near that number

btw im looking at frame 433

check the target tables and shoot for something a lil leaner like maybe 10.5-11.5 see where your engine is happy
again this is based on me assuming your burning gasoline
