i just looked at the 6an bypass i have on shelf and there is no issue using AN with an oring into the regulator ,

What brand what model.

Strange...my Jeg's order showed up today, must have been a back-ordered item that had the Jan shipping date. Anyhow, the fitting (at least for this particular regulator) will definitely need to be trimmed. Finger-tight and there's more gap than an o-ring could possibly fill. Looking into the ports, there's a half-wall about 3/8" in...

No biggie. Nothing a grinder won't fix.

Lathed off the flare and radiused the outlet, it even "clocked" right without undo fuss.
