how to do bodywork

Looks kinda like fish scales Matt. Interesting idea.

i did it with spray paint so it didnt turn out good.. i guess there hasn't been alot of people looking at this thread. i guess the way its at the top of the general tech page hurts some too. i will try to keep posting. i might be doing some bodywork this week end so i may add some more up.

body work

HI,Matt i am also a body man.I have a front nose piece that u could have had but i live in mass.To bad your so far away.I will post some of the picts of so custom valve covers for a gn i just got finished with. One more thing if you have the money in my 17 years experience when you strip down to metal you should go over it with ppg dp-90 or dupont variprime.you can do body work right over the epoxy primer.

i have done filler work over epoxy primer before but this was just a extra panel. i am also cheap too. i wished you lived closer too because that nose would do me some good to show people how to fix it. i would love to see those valve covers. btw if you want to post some how to work, you can it would help out alot.

i used Etching primer when i painted my car.
when i do the Repaint in the next year or so i will be using Epoxy primer.

Joe; those covers are awesome!

So here is the hood I will be repairing... the outside is in good shape(just a dent and scratches) but the inner hood ended up rusting out the inner frame rails... the car sat for so long, it ended up rusting to the point where it wasn`t worth fixing it:(
