My Stage 2 car update

Looks like the crank whipped and hurt the number 3 main bearing:mad: Not sure what happend but its apart for the winter and im going to put a set of new Oliver rods in it because i dont trust the titainum rods i had in there. Im gong to put some new parts in it and stop trying to run used parts i have no history on:biggrin:
Not sure if the stater support spinning caused this ? All i know is summer is over here and racing is done for me until next summer...

Sorry to hear that, at least you caught it when you did I suppose.

To top it off my dad died the same week:frown:
The car is on the back burner for awhile but i did take it apart. I have the parts to put it back together but im just not into it right now...
i have all winter to put it back together and get over my loss..
Life goes on as they say:biggrin:
I will miss that man and his STRONG will to over come anything.
I have his purple heart from when he was wounded in Normandy that will be in a case hanging on my wall to look at and get strength from when i need it..

Geno, sorry for your loss, it is difficult to fill the void left from loosing a parent. It never ever gets filled just you find ways to get around the hole. In time you will have more better days than worse, just hang in there it takes a LOT of time.

Thanks Guys:cool:
I got up the drive to work on the car again and its ready to go to the dyno.
Another used crank:eek: and some Oliver rods this time..
Dam i wish i could afford a new crank:mad:
Cal will be up in 2 weeks to help me tune:)
I have a DLS prepped block and want to put new parts in it:cool:
This motor is more of a test bed until i can afford to build my good motor:biggrin:

Used crank and "Choliver" rods.;)

Glad to see it up and running again. It'll be fine. You spent alot of time measuring, measuring, tweaking. It'll pay off.

Can I help wire in a fuel level sending unit for you? I've got one new in the box.

Not surprised, the build looks awesome. Sucks that you hurt the motor, I've been there a few times, but nothing as painful as hurting an expensive one

Sorry to see that you lost your Dad. As the great Dr. Seuss would say "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." You should be a very proud guy that your dad fought for us at Normandy.

I hope to see more updates, this car is flat out awesome.

Geno,
Your car has to be on the top ten Buick builds.... amazing attention to detail.... What color paint/metal flake is that?
