intake, 4 b
I have used the KB 4 barrel intake with great satisfaction. First it was on a oddfire engine in a kit car, then on a evenfire V6 Buick engine in a S10 pickup and now it as on the same V6 in a TR7 FHC. All engine RAN great.

400 plus sbc in 84 Regal
If you have the sbc you could put a 350t in there as you may have the gears for it. You will need crossmember, but, the drive shaft will work, shifter will work as it is now set up for three gears. One thing to known is the 700r4 does not fit the transmission tunnel...
400t verses anything else
You have a 84 Regal and it should have a 2004r in it. Keep it,fix if needs it.
The 400t was made for heavy cars and trucks with BIG engines. I have one
in RV with gearvender, does the job.

Since you don't need the cat a straight pipe would work. As to what make, it depends on what is available in UK. Any G body type would fit, chevy, pontiac, I would get one in 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" with the mufflers under the backseats. in UK it maybe easier to have one made up.

Exhaust
How about a dual system from the Cat back? You will need the Cat for the MOT correct? You will not need the balance "h" nor a new transmission mount crossmember with this setup. It will give you the look.

400 s/p trans.
I have one in a 66 GS behind a 401, I have 2.92 posi gears in the back. To use the s/p you need tall gears, some where in the high 2.00's, that way you have a s/p 1st gear to get started. Remember the 400 uses HP to operate.

Trans 3 or 4
You didn't say what year it was. Most cars were designed to give the best gas mileage in the late 70' early 80's as we had gas problem then. A 82 Regal had a 350C with 2.41 ratio. It would take along time to get up to speed. You would be right about having to much gear as you could...
mufflers
I have Walker ultraflows in my systems, nice setup, made for turbo cars, but I use them on a 82 Regal Sport Coupe with sbb running mid 13's in 1/4.

Do you know anyone that has put turbo V6, hot or cold air, in a TR7?
I have a 85 turbo V6 long block that I am thinking about installing in a TR7. I would like to change it to a 86 intake and maybe cold air, but missing some control pieces.

Hello b4black,
I have a 82 Regal Sport Coupe that I have recyled. It was missing the turbo
when I purchased it, I still have the block in corner of garage. I installed a
modified sbb 350 V8 in it's place and it is very quick, no time tickets at present. I also have a modified 85 turbo V6 on...
