    Project 84LC2

Just posted a few pictures of the progress on the rear end. I installed some new moser axles with new wheel bearings and seals. Also welded on some tabs to the axle tubes for the braided lines where they connect to the hard lines. Installed the Baer 13" rear brakes.

1984 Grand National build thread...complete restore

Yeah Toby, that's me. I didn't weld on the frame, but I will be installing the bolt on braces that connect the upper and lower rear control arms, the braces for the shock towers, and the front triangulated braces too. Once the body is back on the frame, I'll be welding in the back seat brace.

Just got done looking at your build Toby. I have the exact same car which I'm doing a full frame off resto on. I'll be converting to the 87 drive train as well. Always loved the Leer Seiger interior.

    Project 84LC2

Finished installing the front suspension. I'm now gathering some ideas on the rear end, and leaning towards upgrading to 30 spline moser axles and an eaton posi along with baer brakes.

Broke both #6 body bushing bolts off F$%^#%!!

Good job, Toby - I lucked out on my frame off project. I only had to re-weld the frame mount under the AC box. Those bushings from OPGI look like really good quality. Did you install the 2 extra mounts on top of the wheel arches?

    Project 84LC2

Got some misc. parts back from powder coating. Installed Motor mount brackets and bumper supports to the frame using all Class 10 hardware. Also received various parts for the front suspension. It's coming along nicely.

    Project 84LC2

Little update - Received all my Moog steering components today, and bought the 87 BRF Transmission that was originally installed on the motor I purchased a couple weeks ago. Owner did a full LS swap on his 87 GN, so I got just about everything needed to do my LC2 Intercooled swap. The trans...

    Who sells Bear Brakes Cheapest?

Awesome - this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm interested in the track 4 - I assume Bear is the cheapest place to buy them unless any members on this board offer discounts or wholesale pricing.

    Front Suspension Opinions

I'm definitely weighing my options, but I'm willing to spend some coin for the cool factor - I just don't want to lose an arm and a leg in the process... lol

    Who sells Bear Brakes Cheapest?

4 gee??? Isn't that what they go for out of the box? I thought fronts were like 2k and rears 15 hundred. Am I missing something? I'll pick them up ASAP, but I can't seem to find retail prices... everyone is hush-hush when it comes down to numbers.... what's the price?

    Front Suspension Opinions

That's a nice affordable upgrade - I contemplated going that route. I wonder how those perform compared to the baer and wilwood dual piston brake systems.

    Front Suspension Opinions

Hey guys, I wan to make sure I'm okay with my suspension setup before I start buying parts. Here's what I have in mind. I plan on running 18x9.5 rims up front, so I don't want to drop the car too much (1.75" with below set-up). I do want the car to handle well and it will be mostly for street...
