I took out the trans pan to install a temp sending unit and decided to take a few photos. From these photos, as vague as they are, does there appear to be any upgrades?
Just satisfying my curiosity.

thanks
D

Looks good to me, LOL get that thing together, we could do some cruising...Mike

In the first picture there is a small lever with an A stamped on it. It looks like something is supposed to connect to it. anyone?

The "tab" holding your filter to the valve body needs to go against the plastic side to keep the filter down into the oil since the suction side is on the top of those filters. There is a matching indent in the black plastic.

Thanks for the info on the clip. I fixed it. The filter is a bit loose though. The tube is fairly long so i'm assuming that once the pan is back on it will keep it in place.

thanks

Yes. It keeps tension on it so it won't just fall out. With the new orange Oring/seal, they stay in place pretty well.

I don't know your car profile since there is nothing written on the Sig. section, but do you have an external tranny cooler install?

Yes i have an external trans cooler.

The reason why I'm asking your Sig since I don't know if your ride is a Sunday car or you do run your TR all out.
maybe one day you might want to replace the stock tranny pan and get a deep Art Carr pan. Not only having extra tranny fluids for cooling, but you can replace the GM tranny filter which the filtering is on top, and replace with a 700r4 which is filter from the bottom.
Once you launch you car the tranny fluid flows toward the rear and away from being filtered by the GM filter since it's a top filtration. A 700r4 has the filtration is on the bottom, so launching your car, you still have fluid being filter and mostly not damaging your tranny internal components running dry.

It'll be driven a few times per week. Probably won't see any track time.
Thanks for the advise. Much appreciated.

It appears to be a drain plug. I'm going to install a temp sensor so if it doesn't have a plug i'll put one in at the same time

thanks again

I hear what you're saying, but won't the temp sensor be sticking down too long? You might want to do a trail fit and see if the temp will hanging too low for ground clearance. Just a thought
