If it's putting out 45 degrees over ambient I'd say the core isn't so great unless that person was running 40psi on a small turbo.

That's about what my PTE FM did on a mid 10 second car without alky(with alky they were lower). Anyone that was on the Power Tour and saw the Twin Turbo LSx Chevy II that won the dyno challenge at 770 rwhp on pump gas and no alky saw a $99 ebay intercooler in action. The car has made over 1000rwhp on race gas.

I installed the "Big boy" version GN1 intercooler today. The fit was nice . I havent drove it yet though , got to finish up some AC work first.
