Help with my 84 hot air GN

Fired it up for the first time in a few months, started good , new battery and fresh oil change, Ran good took it on the highway for about an hr, Stopped at a gas station, It stalled as soon as I pull up to the pump, The check engine and oil/choke lights go on, Fired it back up and cruised back, Runs fines at highway speeds but asoon as I slow down it , it stutters and stalls, wait a minute or two fire it back up and go. Pull up to my house and it stalls again. Check engine light stays on aswell as the oil/choke light, This GN has a new tank, new fuel pump, fuel filter, Plugs and wires, and ecm. I dont have a code reader but I will get it tested in a day or two, Anyone have any idea where I should start? Thanks for any ideas

If your dash light are lighting up like a christmas tree it cold be the alternator. Its easy to remove and get tested at Autozone or other. If it is the alternator, take the opportunity to upgrade it. Look at the link

X2 on the coil module. Gets weak when warmed up. Brad

it was the ecm causing all the trouble. I am looking for a newer stock ecm so let me know if anyone has one for sale thanks

If I can find the damn thing again I've got 1 somewhere along with a cam sensor that have gone missing. I'll try and make time to find them both this week if I can.

We are here to help.

You need the unit under the coil pack? (Ignition module)
ECM is inside the car, PS, behind the kick panel. (Aluminum case)
Post a picture what you have.

This is what I need to replace , I got mine tested and failed, my car still runs but as soon as it gets warm it acts like it wants to die and stall out, Is this the right diagnosis? thanks

You need to make sure it's an 84-85 modual or an 86-87 modual. I've got an 84-85 modual looking for a new owner if you can use it.

That is the ignition module. Does yours look the same?
Very possible your module is bad, but since it cuts out while warming up I think you may also have other issues. . . . . like a bad O2 or temp sensor.
Do you have a scantool?
