STEP BY STEP ENGINE REBUILD!

Because 3.8 bearings are skinnier than they need to be. 3800 bearings drop right in and are wider.
This is the reason I'm using them, so that the pressure from the Rod is displaced onto the crank more evenly, more surface area.

3800 bearings? I'm a noob, you mean like for series 2 engines? And do you mean the stock bearings for a series 2?

Or am I way off lol
 
Crank is in the shop just waiting for an answer to see if we can save it i hope so!

Well good news guys the crank is fixed my crank guy is amazing! Got it fixed polished and rebalanced for under 200$!

Don't forget that small bolt to the left of the front crank seal at about the 9:30 position.

Rock the cam shaft back and forth once you put the timing cover on with a dial gauge hooked up. Set the clearance using the shims supplied with the button. And then put back on the timing cover for good.
