    VIN decode to get # in series...

    Hello. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to decode the VIN to see what number car I have. It's an '87 GN, and the VIN is: 1G4GJ1172HP454911 Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Also, moderators, if this post is in the wrong spot, please relocate as needed. Thanks!

    I just have it zip tied right now - it's actually fairly sturdy. You can buy ring style mounts, but I will probably just end up fabricating something.

    I actually took care of the problem by taking off just a little material from all of the valve retainers. Worked great! Thanks for the response just the same - I'm sure someone else needs this info.

    Well, I got the springs all done a couple of days ago. I used air pressure to hold the valve shut (the motor will rotate, but only to the bottom of it's travel). Used the hammer and socket trick - worked great. I ended up making my own version of Kirban's tool, and it worked absolutely...

    What numbers should I look for with just the priming tool? Will it matter that the oil will not be warmed up?
