    Testing the accumulator

Seems to be ok I've been fallowing the Powermaster troubleshooting booklet. It's ok, but not enough real life tips. Brakes seem to be working ok. Except for the pump "burp" everything is much better than before. Only thing to look for now is a spare pressure switch. :D

    Testing the accumulator

Changed accumulator Repalced the accumulator with a supposed good one. Pump comes on after two pumps. Something else is happening now. After the pump stops, after a few seconds, it kind of pumps two or three single pumps. I'm wondering if the switch is going bad. Brakes work fine, better than...

    Testing the accumulator

Rebuilt I guess it needs to be replaced. This is what happened. Peddle would almost go to the floor and pump would come on after about a minute. Figured brake and power sections were leaking. Got the kit and rebuilt it. Master side cups were worn and the power side had a bad O-ring. Brakes...

    Powermaster rebuild

On order We don't have Autozone here. We have Checkers, Carquest, Auto Value and NAPA. All of them worthless. Carquest is suppose to have one made by A1 Cardone on order. So we're just waiting for that one to come in. Don't know what the warrenty is, but I think it's the same as Autozone...

Strange problems with my GN, experts needed....

Bad ground??? You said the FP relay was hot. You may have a loose ground or poor connection to the relay. This would cause the FP to cut off and come right back on. When the connection gets hot enough it would disconnect, when it cools, it would reconnect. If it only will cut off when it's...

Strange problems with my GN, experts needed....

MAF???? What kind/brand of MAF did you install???? If it was an aftermarket one take it back and get another. I've noticed that lots of aftermarket MAF's give lote of problems. If you know someone with another TB that is running good, try swaping the MAF and see if the problem goes away...

    Stumbling/Hesitation

Cam sensor Did you check the can sensor timing??? Sounds like the EGR maybe sticking. Take it out, clean it, and make sure it closes. MAF sensors from Cardone are kind of a hit and miss. If you get a good one, your lucky.

    Header cracked what to do?

Do it right Best way I found to do it right. 1) Solvent wash and glass beed blast the whole header. Try to get inside where the crack is. 2) Heat the whole header up to 400' in an oven for about 15minutes. 3) Tig weld it as soon as it comes out of the oven. 4) Stick it back in the...

    A/C, no A/C, A/C, no A/C

Fan You should check the pressures. You may have a fan problem. Do you have the stock fan???? If so it may not be pulling enough air through the condensor when it's hot. You could also be having an electrical problem. You'll have to check to see if the compressor is coming on. If not...

    A/C, no A/C, A/C, no A/C

Tools They make a special socket to fit, but any thin wall socket that will fit will work. Your mesuring the gap between the clutch plate and the clutch. Easiest way is to use two feeler gauges one each on opposite sides of the clutch. Your going to have to hold the clutch plate to keep it...

    A/C, no A/C, A/C, no A/C

Clutch adjustment You have to hold the clutch plate and tighten the nut in the center of the plate. 9/16 thin wall socket. The gap should be between .020 to .040. Don't tighten it too much, you have to have some gap so it can dis-engage. To widen the gap you may need a special tool, so go slow.
