Classic FAST B2B not registering ESC retard

B2BUNV_E.. Absolutely, positively supports ESC operation. Like I said... Isolate ESC input wire to ECU and ground it with engine running and TPS > Max. TPS for Idle parameter. If you don't register knock retard, visually inspect ECU connector and pins.

Classic FAST B2B not registering ESC retard

That is not correct. I think all B2B ECUs supported ESC, and certainly all Turbo Buick specific ECUs did. What is part number and firmware listed on label?

Classic FAST B2B not registering ESC retard

I would just like to see that ECU input isolated from whatever else is hooked to it (knock gauge, etc). TPS needs to be higher than max. TPS for Idle parameter. It should pull knock retard at idle.

Classic FAST B2B not registering ESC retard

Isolate the ESC wire to ECU (H1) and ground it to chassis with engine running. Shouldn't be connected to anything else. Should pull out all knock retard when grounded and decay back to 0 when disconnected. If it works, the problem is in wiring or something other than ECU. If this doesn't...

XFI 2.05 very long initial crank , any ideas ?

Yes.. Sorry, didn't see the XIM reference. Are you seeing the cam LED on the XFI and on the XIM right away during cranking? The same applies to XIM; It has to wait for cam pulse to synchronize before sorting spark.

XFI 2.05 very long initial crank , any ideas ?

While cranking, the stock C3I ignition is in bypass mode and ECU is not controlling spark. The timing will be 10 degrees and trigger directly from crank sensor. There can be a delay as the C3I module will wait for a cam pulse to synchronize and it can take as long as two engine revolutions for...

    OEM Temp Sensor

I'm sure it will be fine. I'm not sure how you managed driver's side mounting with all the cables and linkages there. ;)

    OEM Temp Sensor

If you can keep it out of the high velocity air flow, it'll live just fine. Mine is mounted in pass. side of Hemco upper plenum; Works great. I originally had it mounted in front of lower plenum of intake manifild but it's mostly stagnant air there and didn't monitor dynamic charge air...

    XFI.....no injector pulse

Make sure TPS is calibrated. TPS>80% = clear flood mode and no injector pulses.

    Classic FAST Gray box.

Shoot me a message with your email and ECU model/serial number..

    Classic FAST Gray box.

There were no user diagnostic codes in the classic FAST system. The "codes" are just various flags used internally by the firmware and do not necessarily indicate any problem or fault.

Poor idle after switching to XIM with 2.05

A7 was the first firmware version that added dwell override control.

Poor idle after switching to XIM with 2.05

The dwell override feature was put in primarily to accommodate non-GM applications using dumb coils or GM LS type coils. However, it is a nice feature for anyone wanting and knowing how to program the dwell. Cal is correct that with current firmware, having the dwell override turned off will...

    long crank to start

If you are using stock C3I ignition, it should be in bypass mode for cranking. In bypass mode, the ECU is out of the picture for any spark control as the spark timing is controlled directly by the crank trigger (10* BTDC). What are your programmed settings for "crank to run mode rpm" and...

Classic FAST B2B: The unused Injector Drivers?

If B2B, just swap wires to one of the unused injector output pins on the ECU. Preferably an output on the same bank as the problem output That said, it's pretty rare that an injector driver would go bad. More likely to be something else.
