    Windshield wiper problem

There is a defective part. A service bulletin is available. The dealer should fix this. Luckily, mine did this when still under warranty. Scott 97.5 Regal GS 11.570 @ 117.98

    Plug change

You can loosen the upper engine supports/mounts and rock the engine forward. This gives you a little more room. My other suggestion is to make sure you have some bandaids handy. ;) I celebrate when I've changed the plugs and still have all of the skin on my knuckles. Scott 97.5 Regal GS...

    Tranny Cooler Mounting Location?

I actually like that idea and it gets me thinking of some other places. I have had my Flex-A-Lite cooler on the front passenger side of the radiator for 2.5 years. Now, I am looking to add something else onto the front of the radiator so I might need to relocate the tranny cooler. Thanks for the...

    GTP Trans problems?

I am not sure what else breaks in the differential, but the next weakest link seems to be the turbine/input shaft. I am not an expert on this topic, but I have looked into the options for a stronger tranny. It looks like stronger parts have been found for most of the failing components except...

    GTP Trans problems?

Sort of off topic, but...I'm beta-testing a LSD unit that should be available mid-December. It should be fun. I've been lucky that my original tranny is still holding up considering my Hoosier DOT Slicks, 13.0x ET runs with mid-1.8 sec 60' times. Input shafts breaking in pre-99 4T65e...

    Why so slow? '98GS

For the DUB, www.southfloridapulleyhq.com. I believe you can go down to the 3.25 inch pulley before you should get a smaller than stock belt. I think I went to the Goodyear Gatorback 4060650 size with my 3.25 and it was real tight. I haven't heard of any problems leaving the "perf-shift"...

    Help, No Boost!!!

The engine will not shut down. You can drive as long as you can put up with the loss of the extra power. I drove for a couple of days until I got my bent pulley off. Scott 97.5 GS

    Why so slow? '98GS

I recommend the Dial-Ur-Boost pulley system starting with the 3.4. That way, you can switch pulleys quickly and without the need of a puller. When I pressed on my 3.4 pulley I said that was the last one I would ever do. Then I pressed on a 3.25 before getting smart and purchasing the DUB unit...

    Aftermarket rods for 3800IISC?

I asked a Bonneville guy (Scott Cook) with a nearly completely redone SC 3.8 about the forged rods and this is what he said: According to Richard Lee [builder of the Spirit of Bonneville, Salt Flats car], several companies will custom make forged L67 connecting rods. I stuck with modified...
