no guys, obviously the ipod can't power speakers. I was talking about the RCAS coming off the amp, if was going to use it. And with the ipod connected to them you get direct control of the volume through the ipod

Do you have amps? I had this setup in my boat for the longest time. I just had the rcas going straight to my ipod. It sounded pretty good, but then I put a deck in it, and the sound was more filtered, and it gave better tuning options. There are modules you can buy to boost the RCA signals but...

where can i find this? it shouldn't be more than $8. My car didn't have them when I got to it, and I'm about to dead the car. the drip sheet helps as a template.

currently I have chrome trim for my '86 limited and want it black. Thinking about having it powder coated, will that be the best way to go? should I have it clear coated, will it sit flat on the car or will the powder coat make it raised up. glossy, semi gloss, or flat? car has a new paintjob

remove the rear speakers and put them in the rear door panel card inserts. build a single 12 or 10'' 4th order bandpass porting up through the rear package tray. then give me the specs so I can build mine ;) you won't have ANY rattle in the trunk since it'll be sealed off

interesting, i like that idea. Cuz every show I go to, people show off some outrageous stereo. Would they want to see a stereo installed/ and pics from car shows you've attended first before you apply for sponsorships?

nice nice. Well the car won't be done anytime soon, so hopefully the economy picks itself up and I can get a sponsor :) Did you have to illustrate the plans to them, and have an audio shop sign saying that they will professionally install it, or can you do it yourself? Why not 5.25'' components...

do you have to go to car shows and stuff or what? advertise polk wherever you go? How does it work, im hoping to get a sponsor once i finish. I will be taking it to shows.

how do dash speakers and 6x9s sound? Does it sound full/ complete or do you feel like there needs to be speakers in the doors? I'm thinking of doing polk db all around. I don't have concert sound. I'd run them off an amp.
