Anyone had any experience with one of these new comp cams hydraulic rollers? I am considering one of the 218-212s but I need to know what other components are needded? I have a set of Comp retro fit hyd rollers out of a sbc. Are these the rollers that I need? Also do I need a cam plate or a...
It is me. Who are you? Things are good here. They would be better if I could find anyone to do machine work on one of these engines. I am patiently waiting to get the car back on the street.
It is a 3.8 block and after doing some research I have found a few cars going as fast as i will ever want this car to go with S1 block and stock internals. So I guess i will have a couple of destrocked cranks and a virgin set of stage 2 heads for sale. Thanks for the input.
I am not sure we picked the car up last week and it was already installed. i assumed that since we were getting the correct led flash sequences that the trigger was wired properly?
I have scrapped the styock block idea and here are the parts I have reaquired. Stage 1 block 40 over w/ steel mains. 3.060 steel crank. 6.5 Corrillo Rods. Stage 2 steel heads untouched never run. Here are my questions as I am ignorant to most of the stage requirements. How much extra cost...
We have a very safe tune in the car an dit runs great, but we cannot retrieve the data filess? We get the proper sequence of flashes from the led's saying that the logger has data but when we have no info when we try to recive it????????
I dont know haow big your turbo is but my car ran consistant 8.1-on junk street tires with a 60-1. Thats with 18-21# just depending on the mix I had at the time.
I understand how the diff in a 15 and 17 can make a diff considering sidewall flex. However I do not understand how BS differs between a 8" or a 9.5" wheel as bs is the maximum allowable distance between the hub and the frame or closest contact point depending on tire diameter. If I were going...
I may be incorrect but all of the info I have recieved on installing my bushings is that the control arms must be removed and the bushings must be pressed out and in. My factorys are not bad but the car is down now so I may be tackling the project in the next couple of weeks. Surely someone on...
I have the bell-techs on my car and love them. I did have to sell the 8" fronts and go with a 7" as I did not want to cut the meatal as we had on a previous car. It does give you a true 2" and doesn't seem to have hurt weight transfer. I can't tell you about the rear as the weight of the...
OK I guess I am an IDIOT that can not read a tape measure. The wheels are custom made TTII's (which I still have the order form for) 17x9.5 w/ 275 40s. I measured the car VERY carefully per American Racings instructions. They are EXTREMELY close to the frame but DO NOT rub the frame not the...
