The above is in the post beginning this thread. If BLACKSHOEBOX got his numbers wrong, and the Mercedes is "only" TWICE
the cost of a Cobra, with 10,000 bucks left over...IT STILL LOOKS INSANE $-wise except to
a very few who have $$ to burn.

Check the resale on that glorified German cab in 2-3 years. If you still don't care about making such a bad purchase, you must be using it as a business write-off, or, be spending Monopoly money.

CL55 AMG $166,300 CDN. Sure, you could make a go-cart faster for about the price of a set of AMG rims, but that's hardly the point of a mercedes.

And as for the idea "I'd rather buy a house", usually if you're willing to spend upwards of $200k on a car, you already got the house.

I myself would rather have a large garage filled with +20 different cars than one mercedes. I don't belong in one anyways.
