i just bought this car as my family car, i have a baby n the way so im kinda scared to go to the track cause if it breaks im kinda on the poor side saving all my cash for the little one, but if anyone could give me an estimate on what it should run, i know nobody can be specific, just a ball park..... would like to know what you think about it running the way it's described on street tires

Precision Turbo (PT52), Racetronics 57lb. injectors,
dual exhaust with 3' ATR downpipe and external wastegate.
racetronix dual slimline fans. , PTE custom chip to run 17psi
on pump gas. Pat's Performance torque converter with 3000 rpm
stall. Level 10 rebuilt transmission, walbro pump, fuel press. reg

then what do you think it should do with a race chip and race gas, thanks guys

Not really sure of the time. If you could 2.0 on street tires with race gas - race chip low 12s? Hooking will be a problem.
Any knock on 17psi with pump gas?

Low 13's to high 12's in the quarter on street tires. You can tell everyone you have a mid 11 second car though, but you keep it tuned down so you don't have to cage it. :)

This question comes up all the time it seems. Lots of test/tuning, and time at the track testing for best launch, and ET, mph are the bottom line. If you look at some folks sig's you can get an idea of what it takes to hit a certain ET +/- 4 seconds or so..

There are guys running 11 second times with the stock turbo, and seemingly few other mods other than extensive tuning and attention to detail, and other folks running high 13's/mid 14's with huge turbos, injectors, front mounts, big MAFs, and other go fast goodies.

It's been said that the best way to make a 10 second quarter mile car into a 14 second car is to take it to the track. At our local speedshop it seems that every kid making $6 an hour or so at Wal-Mart, Jiffy Lube, and Subway sandwiches has a 10 second ride . Several of them have even timed it on a wristwatch out on the road just to make sure..

Anyway, the combo you list could go much faster or much slower, but it all depends upon tune and the overall state of the car. Street tires will greatly limit you. If you just bought the car and know little about tuning it, have no scan tools, etc.. Expect to be much slower than you would think. It's MUCH cheaper to just tell people you have a 10 second car though.. :)
