Looking into a 1’’ plenum spacer to delete the vacuum block, will the spacer make the plenum contact the hood pad ? Seems like the block I have now is close to 1’’ but I also need the delete plate so I’m not sure how much more height that adds. Also with the spacer is the RJC plate still recommended, and if so what would be the gasket count, 3 ? Seems like a lot. Anyone got any input ? Did this before a few years back but don’t remember the details of which route I went.

Thanks

X3, Eliminating the vac block pretty much negates the added spacer height. I have the RJC plate on mine. too.

The angled spacer will really help with hood clearance.
Before Cruz offered the angled spacer I had my Precision plenum machined on an angle. As a bonus to hood clearance, it straightened out the up pipe as well. I didn’t know the Precision plenum was 5/8” taller then either.
I ran a 1/2” spacer (no power plate back then) with the stock plenum and stock vacuum block and still had hood clearance, but my car was a lot younger then and the body bushings weren’t wore out.
It seems I remember Jason saying to run the power plate on the bottom of the spacer, but couldn’t find it on their website.
1” spacer + 1/8” power plate + 1/16” gasket (X3) = 1 5/6” I’m not sure how thick the block off plate is.
