GM High-Tech Performance magazine wants fast, great looking southern GM vehicles to participate in an all-makes shootout at the Texas Motorplex. This closed-track event, which will be held on November 17, 2003 at Ennis, Texas, will be by invitation only. Participants will have the chance to race on a closed track while GMHTP staffers snap photos for an upcoming article in the magazine. There are no noise restrictions. For consideration, your 10.99 or faster GM must have an EFI GM motor, it and the driver must be NHRA legal for the vehicle’s ET, and you must be available on Monday, November 17 and Tuesday, November 18 for the shootout and its rain date.

The application process will be fully electronic. To apply, email an overall, engine, and interior .jpg digital photo of your ride, ET slips and/or dyno numbers, a list with your buildup info and NHRA safety equipment, and home, work, and cell phone numbers, to:
rick.jensen@primedia.com
The deadline for these applications is October 16. Invitees will be notified by phone no later than October 17. Thanks and good luck!

sorta to bad.....on oct 4 th there will be countless 10.99 faster cars at las vegas motor speedway. even f bodies, and vettes....I know of several personally....besides the ussual aray of 9 sec buicks .

Seems like another waiste of money , but I guess I ve come to expect that from GM hi tech. Last year I invited them to come because it actually co incided with the sema event, but I was turned down and they still went to sema? Could have saved an enormous amount of money doing articles for the whole year in a weekend but no that made way to much sence. Instead I read about 15 sec cars that they spent 2k $ on to get 13.99 out of?

Same here... No rollbar... yet. I am getting one, but not before that date.

Mine is mostly legal, just needs axle shafts and a trans blanket. Dunno if it'll run 10's yet. I'll find out in Vegas.
