I know this has probably been beaten to death. Im gonna ask again anyway.

The mods done to my car are in my sig. Last year with a TE60 on low boost, pump gas, 16psi the car went 11.69 @ 115mph. I was very happy with that.

I never turned up the TE60 to its full potential with my new engine. On the stock rebuild engine it went low 11's running 22psi. I sold it, now Im looking for what direction to take for a bigger turbo to get the full potential out of my mods.

I was thinking about a DBB 6776 with a stall converter. This car is primarily street driven and raced once and a while. I want a turbo with good spoolup and street manners. But could lay some numbers down when cranked up.

I see alot of different turbos are available now that Im not familiar with.

Ideally I would like a 10 sec. capable turbo with good street manners to boot.

Any suggestions?

The 60 would have done it at 26 psi. A 66 or 67 with the F1 exhaust wheel on a good tune will do it at 23-24psi with your parts. Thats with the timing turned up and the car hooking well.

A bb 6776 would be the best IMO. That turbo paired with a 10" 2800-3200 ptc l/u would be violent on the street. Still have lock up and will easily run 10's with 24psi.

I have the 6776 on an unopened 109 (96k miles) now, until I have the money to finish a build 109. This turbo is very streetable. My current setup has a very small cusion to allow the car to roll about 5 feet before it spikes to 22 psi. (that is after heating the M/T's and launching at 3 psi on t-brake) And that is lauching on the street. I can't wait to run the car to see what it will do. (421whp/496wtq @ 20psi/20degrees) Not sure how much a 96k stocker will hold, so I'm leaving it there.

Lauching at 5 psi = instant tire spin. I'm at 5psi at 3000rpm and 22psi @ 3100rpm just to give you an idea.

Go with it, you will be happy with the driveablity (I'm very happy with my mis-matched setup) and 10's should be effortless with your setup and 24 psi, assuming good 60ft.

With your heads and cam make sure you rev it to 5700. I picked up 4 mph with a TE60 just by rev it out...119.96 at 18 psi!

6776dbb with a PTC 9.5" NLU converter. Easy 10's all day long.....
