I run 100 octane all the time. I can only get 90 octane at the pump here. Even with just 90 I typically run 22pounds of boost with up to 23 degrees timming on the Alky. This is with almost zero knock, remember we have good cool air here too.

With the 100 I run the same with no Alky.

What about 100 and running alky, seems like I should be able to run in race mode as I would with 110? or am I wrong.

Im sure I could crank the timmimg or the boost up?

Alcohol is a knock suppressant. If you spray and get knock.. you need to increase the amount/volume into the motor. This is done via higher pressure or increasing the orfice/nozzles.

There are cars running way past 30 PSI on 92-93 octane "and" making power. The issue stems from volume shot into the motor.

What I do with my car i'd be hard pressed with just 110.. due to cooling.

Is there a downside to running higher octane fuel with alcohol on top.. no. None. A lot of race cars will add the alky for cooling, and if they forget to turn the system on, fill the jug, etc.. the ecm will add the fuel accordingly. Like in the case of your FAST doing a +25% correction.

Thanks Razor,

I have been playing with the idea of turning up the boost with the 100 octane. Dont know why, Im sure it would just add to my Traction issues on the street!

Thanks
