112 servo - use 3rd accumulator seal?

Instructions from Superior servo says discard 3rd accumulator seal and 3rd accumulator spring. Is this correct for a 112 servo? If not, how should this thing be put together? Thanks, Craig

A 112 servo doesn' t have a 3rd accum

like the superior servo. a 112 servo consists of a piston, pin, a spring, and a spring seat {looks like a big body washer} and it's all c-clipped together.

I was wondering if the 112 servo should be assmebled just like the superior servo - no seal on the smaller piston and delete the large spring? Is this correct for the 112? Thanks, Craig
ps- what's the benefir of leaving the seal off the piston?

the 112 servo is

nothing like the superior servo. The 112 doesn't have the steel piston/spring set up.

on the superior servo it doesn't have the 3rd accum hole drilled so you don't need the ring on the steel piston.

man thanks! I got this from a member here and it came with a steel piston(without a seal) Not sure how this should go together.

it is in my manual i definately started the trend around here with the use of that servo,and im glad i did

Chris, I put this servo in my freshly rebuilt trans with the hopes of fixing a slipping 1-2 shift. The trans was shifting fine after the rebuild but started sliding on the 1-2. The 2-3 and 3-4 are crisp. Any ideas? Would your shift kit help? What else should I check or replace? Thanks. PS- I'll probably be calling you on Monday. Craig
