I just went and picked up a Felpro Oilpan gasket for my 84 GN. It's cork! I really want rubber, but they didn't have one listed.

Does anyone know a Fepro (or other) number for a rubber 14 bolt oil pan gasket? :confused:

I can't help you with the number but the cork gaskets are much better. I would never use a rubber pan gasket.

Probably un-needed but here are my 2 cents;

Cork-rubber material holds back oil much better than plain rubber in most cases; its "spongey" absorbing qualities allow it to swell allowing for less leak. Rubber when saturated with oil becomes weak, soft and eventually brittle (like my stupid vaccumn lines from my turbo!).

Thanks!

Thanks Guy's,,, going cork on the 84.

I just did my 87 rear main seal and the rubber one looked pretty good. Time will tell..... :rolleyes:

If you order the gasket with the filter you will get a cork gasket in the kit from napa.
