16" GTA fronts, on GN rear - Tires

Has anyone ever tried a 275/50/16 on GTA fronts, mounted on the rear? I couldn't get a 275/50/15 to work w/o rubbing on the frame on stock GN rims, however with a 3.5" back space Centerline [15X7.5"] the tires fit beautifully. I have a full set of never mounted GTA fronts sitting in GM boxes that I'd like to try with the 275/16's on the rear. The 16's are the same sectional width [11.6" BFG T/A's] as the 15's are but I am curious about the 4" backspace/frame clearance issue.
Anyone do this successfully?

I have a full set of never mounted GTA fronts sitting in GM boxes

If you're short of storage space until you need them....I can store those for you

Jim, as I recall, those GTA fronts have a backspace of 4.33". No problem going with 255-50 16s on the rear of your car. More details on the other post.

I've had 255-50 16's on my TTA for a year and 600 miles now, with stock rims. I feel like it was a good choice for my purposes No rubbing at all.
