ok, I' ve ben told the 16's with 255/50's wont work all the way around, if I use those on the back, what would be a descent size on the front? Thanks so much.

I use 225 60 16s on the front. About the same height as my 255 50 16s on my rear. No rub.

it has a lot to do with what rim you are running
i had 245/50/16 on 4 GTA fronts and it use to rub on a full lock..

ok, so I would be safe to say having the 255/50r16 on the back and some 235/50r16's on the front depending how the back spacing is.....

on 16x7" rims i run 235x55x16 a perfect 26" tire with enough meat on em to hold the road and handling.same size alot of camaros run.

i run bfg radial t/a 265/50/16's in the back (wide)

and 245's up front but those are going because they rub on hard turns...the back tires dont rub at all and just BARELY clear the frame...265's will be the widest tires you can fit on a 16x8 rim

helps to have air bags in your springs like i do too

Just FYI, Im pretty sure that there is no such thing as a 235/50R16, but I know there is a 55 series tire.

Both of my TRs have 16x8" GTA rims on them.

On the GN: (4 fronts)
225/50R16 on front (a bit small, but they were free)
245/50R16 Nitto Drag Radials on rear (sold them, but getting slicks soon)

On the T-type: (2 fronts, 2 rears)
245/50R16 on front, with 7/16" spacer and special lug nuts, rubs just before full lock.
255/50R16 on rear, rubs a little bit on the frame, no biggie.

If you are wanting to rotate, Id just do 4 245/50R16s. If you dont care about rotating (obviously I dont :) ) I say do a 255/50R16 in the rear, and either a 245/50R16 or a 225/55R16 on the front. Just my .02

The tires I am looking at are Pirrelli, and they make a 235/50/16 just thought I'd share that.

235x50x16 s will be alittle short-stock height is 26" same as 235x55x16 s.nitto, cooper and i believe good year make these sizes.HTH

Wheels are a no worky. The back spacing is way differnt, they sit way in the wheel well and hit the ball joints/a arms. So thats done.....

225/50/16 Front (245/50 rubbed with my saggy stock springs)
255/50/16 Rear

I have 245/50/16 up front with 265/50/16 out back. The front ones rub a little on a VERY tight turn, but I really don't notice it, and my car sits kinda low.

ok, so what kind or wheels are you guys runnin then? As far as back spacing goes or if you have a link to the brand of your wheel...

GN- GTA rims, 4 "fronts"

T-Ttype- GTA rims, 2 "fronts" on the rear of the car with 255/50R16s and no spacers. 2 "rears" on the front with 245/50R16s, and a 7/16" spacer to clear the tie rod ends. HTH
