This is the car I'm thinking about buying for parts...

Anyways, the guy selling it was pretty nice. The car was a little rougher than I expected. The driveline is all there and the major parts are good. The coilpack did test bad so that may be all that is needed to get it to run. I would have had better pictures but the others didn't turn out because my camera was on the wrong setting. Basically, it's a GN but some of the front is missing. As you can see in photo. The fender are in overall pretty good shape except for an identical dent on each from loading on a trailer. It doesn't look too bad though. The drivers side front edge had some bent mounting tabs from the removal of the old header panel. Again, not bad, but there was some surface rust there as pictured.

The bumper cover can be sanded and repainted but is just faded really bad. The hood is in excellent shape physically. The engine is all there except some missing A/C parts. The interior is very rough as he said. The wheels don't come with the car.

Overall, I think it may not be a bad deal since I could technically part out the car and actually make my money back. The hard part would be deciding what to keep for myself.

The trim parts such as headlight buckets, filler panels, and grill would need to be bought new from a vendor anyways, and he said he has a source for a $20 headerpanel. The paint looked really faded and had lots of light scratches, but didn't look like it had been repainted, and everything passed the magnet test. Those doors are in good shape as is the hood. Rust has NOT touched them... In fact.. the passenger door is probably in better shape than mine. The fenders can be used too I think...

The windshield is badly cracked as is the dash and missing all of the trim. Parts I don't need anyways...

Take a look and tell me what you think.

looks like the front clip is pretty good which is what you need to fix your baby........i'd say go for it so you aren't depressed about your gn and maybe fix this one up with regal parts and sell it for more

LOL you cant say p***enger, but paszenger works?

1650??? SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!!

i wouldnt even hesitate buying that car and parting it out!

you better contact that guy before someone buys it out from under you!!!

that actually happened to me when i tried to buy my first GN, i told a guy at work about it... he literally drove straight there and bought it out from under me:mad:

as for keeping parts for yourself, just sell off the big parts you dont need, and keep the driveline stuff for yourself...

the motor, trans, and rear are worth what the guy is selling the car for...

GO GET IT!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason I wouldn't buy it is because this BB censors the word ***, even in an other word!!!

*** come on you can say *** on TV! :D

Anyways, I found a Grey 86 T-Type w/ blackout option for 2500 that is very nice except in need of a new paint job. I might be getting that instead.

That car also has a brother that actually runs and drives for 2800.

Bishir, $1650 is dirt cheap even for that turd. The parts are worth 3-4x that!
